Razer Blade 15 Issue: Motherboard Failure After Warranty

I'm writing because I don't know what to do. In September 2021, I bought a Razer Blade 15 Advanced with an i7 and RTX 3070. For a little over two years, the laptop worked fine. Unfortunately, in December 2023, it suddenly stopped recognizing the RTX 3070 graphics card. I tried to figure out why it happened, but I couldn't. I left the laptop alone for a while. Recently, when I tried to turn it on again, the screen remained black after startup. So, I sent the laptop for service because there are no Razer service centers in Poland, where I currently live, to diagnose the issue.

Unfortunately, it turned out that shortly after the warranty expired, the motherboard broke. I bought the laptop for a considerable amount ($3k USD) after saving up for a long time, and the only service center capable of repairing it wanted around $1k USD, which is an unattainable sum for me at the moment.

I use a lot of Razer equipment, but this is the only problem I've encountered with this laptop. Is there anything that could help me in this situation?

Exactly the same thing happened to me and my Razer Blade 15 (2021) Advanced Edition!

The charging circuit on my 2021 Blade 15 Advanced failed last summer (it was purchased in Dec of 2021) and will not see AC adapter is connected under high load rendering it useless for gaming (the primary reason I bought it). It needs an entire new motherboard. I never plan on buying a Razer laptop ever again. Sure seems someone should look into a class action lawsuit with how many people are having issues with this system.

I have the same issue. My motherboard on my Razer blade 15 with a GTX 1660 Nvidia failed few months after my warranty expired. I will never buy from Razer again, not even a mousepad.

I encountered the same problem.
I purchased my Razer Blade 15 RZ09-0421NEC3 in April 2023, in Ottoble 2023 it stopped turning on.
Without warranty (I bought from Amazon USA, I live in Italy) I am forced to pay more than half the price of the laptop to repair it.
3,000€ laptop and 2,000€ to repair it with not even 5 months of use.

The problem would seem to be with the motherboard, if anyone would be able to help me, please contact me.

Same thing here!

The laptop died a couple of months ago.

Was no white led when connected to power.

The product is out of warranty but seams a lot of people having the same issue.

Is there a possible manufacturing issue that they should extend the warranty? Or make big discount for a new one?

Same issue with my Razer Blade 15 and have had it for just over 2 years.

My laptop just went into system repair and goes dark. Took it to a local repair shop and said the motherboard is fried and some other issue with the RAM.

Got in touch with Razer support who asked me to pay 99euros to cover delivery and diagnostics and then to quote. I said I already know what the issue is so give me a rough cost as I don’t want to have to send it to Germany and then find out it’s ridiculously expensive.  Still waiting to hear back but was too trying to find out if I could get hold of the part and get repaired locally. So far Razer say I have to send it to them to get an accurate cost.

Disappointing  to hear how common this issue is.

Will not be buying Razer products again!!!

I had the same exact issue. Laptop stopped turning on shortly outside of warranty. Razer will not cover it. Sounds like they manufactured these with faulty parts. Are we supposed to cover the cost for their mistakes?

I had a similar problem with my Razer Blade 15 Advanced 2022.
Out of the blue, my screen stopped working. I thought it might be a driver or OS issue, but when I tried to restore the operating system, I discovered that the BIOS is not displayed through the GPU on an external monitor.
When I sent it to the technical service, they told me that the problem is a failure in the igpu on the motherboard and that the solution would be to change the motherboard, which would cost me $1,500, half the value of the laptop, with just 2 years of use.
At the moment I can use it with an external monitor, but if something happens with my operating system, I will have no way to solve it, since I depend 100% on the Nvidia GPU and an external monitor that does not always show me what I need.
I was very happy with the laptop, but unfortunately this determines that I will not buy Razer laptops in the future.

I'm having the exact same issues on my 2022 razer 15 laptop.  Very frustrating.  My previous Razer laptop was in constant use for 7+ years with no problems, this new one barely made it past 2.  Very costly repair, currently waiting for razer to rerun the repair shops call for an eta on shipping the replacement parts.

Came here to validate ya’ll, same thing happened to me. I had what I consider the best repair guy ever sit on it for months with different solutions just to tell me its essentially bricked for gaming since it won't recognize the AC power. can't even factory reset the damn thing because it needs to be ‘plugged in’ in order to reset itself. Very suspicious that we all coincidentally have the same problem right after the warranty...
