Razer Levithan V2 is extremely loud at low volume setting

i recently picked up a Levithan V2 sub/soundbar kit and have been using it for a few days. It sounds great and looks sharp but one thing that spoils the experience is the fact that it is LOUD. I have to set my volume to around 4 or 6 in order to not blow my ears out(which makes for almost zero volume control because you have exactly 2 clicks from a volume setting of 6 to zero sound). I've reinstalled things numerous times without any noticeable impact. I can install EqualizerAPO and set the preamp to -15db, however using EqulizerAPO takes out any of the fancy functionality synapse provides for EQ, THX spatial, etc. Is there a real fix or am I stuck with EqualizerAPO and losing THX spatial and any other soundbar enhancements razer might be providing under the covers?
