Razer Naga Trinity Overheating with no use | Razer Insider

Razer Naga Trinity worked fine, no overheating first few months. Then Razer software did an update and mouse started ‘overheating’ while just sitting there… meaning I can leave it untouched overnight and uncomfortably hot to use. It’s just a plug-in mouse, no bluetooth. I run two profiles, use the 7-button plate on the side. Driver 10.0.15063.0 2020-08-18, no update available according to windows device manager update driver support.

Previously ran a similar steelseries mouse, but got this one as a present and kept it because it has more buttons. But never had overheat or kernel event errors on the steelseries mouse or keyboard.

Device manager has noted some Kernel PnP event errors logged, a couple of days after initial install. oem442.inf within the mouhid service, had a problem starting a couple of times. Then a couple of days later msmouse.inf, and then again oem443.inf another few days after that. So that doesn’t sound good.

Here’s a copy of the latest one.
