Razer Nari Ultimate, Windows 11, Chat Wheel & Sound Issues

Hello, (note: I'm aware the latest Windows 11 update broke surround sound stuff, but my issues I believe go past that... or if you don't think they do after reading the thread then please let me know what you think). I'm a computer engineer / gamer that have been enjoying my Razer Nari Ultimate's on my old PC build, which yes was out of date Windows 7 Pro. However, my headset worked flawlessly and I loved it on Windows 7 Pro. I was able to use the "chat" wheel and the "master volume" wheel's independently and I would frequently adjust them to my preferences for different games in seconds without issue. Worth noting on the old PC, since it was windows 7 razer synapse was no longer supported and I didn't need it or use it as my headset seemed to work well anyways. Recently did my new build: Graphics Card: GeForce RTX 4090 CPU: Intel i9-12k Motherboard: ASUS ROG Maximus Z690 Hero Hard Drive: Samsung 970 EVO 2TB SSD Memory: G.Skill Trident 32 GB 6600 MHz Power Supply: Maingear 1200W Full ATX MG Sounds great, right? However my sound is destroyed. I play Tarkov, CS:GO, RL, PubG, and BO3 Zombies mostly. Tarkov is currently UNPLAYABLE. The sound just sounds awful, like a million loud noises are happening at the same time, can't hear any footsteps even next to me, etc... and I've got to imagine on Windows 7 I was just running "stereo" sound and not even surround sound (as I have seen a thread about the latest Windows 11 update breaking the surround sound). Problem: Chat Wheel / Volume Wheel are apparently in synch and do the same thing. Both act as a master volume and the chat wheel is not independent for my chat applications (Discord). I've googled, searched through microsoft threads, and looked for another similar thread here to no avail, ensured the drivers are all up to date, even played with the EQ/etc. I have my discord input set to the default microphone (which in windows 11 is set to my razer nari mic) and my mic works fine. I have my output sounds to my Razer Nari - Game, which again is my default output device on my Windows 11 as well. I do not have my discord output settings to the - Chat because it sounds HORRIBLE. Everyone sounds like they're holding their nose close when they talk if I use the - Chat option instead of the - Game option. Sounds are "working." I say it in quotes because while I do have game sounds, the sound is definitely horrible. In a game like Rocket League where there isn't much else past basic sounds, it's playable, but in a game like Tarkov, it's just atrocious. The game is literally unplayable and I've been messing with sound settings for nearly a week to no avail. Nothing I change seems to do anything for me, even if I go to the EQ and put everything to maximum negative I can on ALL frequencies, I still can't even reload a shotgun because the sound is so piercingly high pitches it hurts my ears/takes away from any other sound in the game. I'm stuck and looking for help at this point, so if anyone else has had a similar issue, or has any ideas on how to make my Razer Nari Ultimate's work like they did on Windows 7, I'd love to hear it. Should I completely uninstall anything Razer from my PC and start over and try again? Is my issue also tied in to the surround sound issues with the latest Windows 11 update? Thank you in advance to anyone who attempts to help, I appreciate you more than you know! Romes

lol, after 1.5 weeks, I'm just trying random settings... under Sound Settings -> Headphones (Razer Nari Ultimate - Game) -> Spatial Audio, I have 3 settings of things I've never heard of and have never used and don't give much context to what they do... but it was 1) Off (which it was). 2) Windows Sonic for Headphones. 3) DTS Headphones:X. 4) DTS:X Ultra I still am not sure what they're for, or why my sound was so AWFUL without them, but as soon as I put on the Windows Sonic for Headphones everything works. My chat wheel/master volume wheel now do separate functions (as they're supposed to)... and my game sound is back to great. My only issue now, that I'm happy to deal with, is my discord chat everyone else sounds like they're holding their noses when they talk. Very "nasily" but this is a 9/10 for what it used to be. VERY frustrating to apparently have to leverage windows sonic in windows 11 now. I am NOT a fan of Windows 11.
