Synapse 4 is trash - Bugs, Connection Issues, Not funcioning

Had everything working alright until Razer decided to force an auto-update. Then, the software started to randomly slow down the PC, fuck up the mouse, lock the macro functions on, mess up the macro, disconnect and reconnect the mouse nonstop… Lot’s of bullshit. Couldn’t even use my PC with it turned on.

Shutting down the Synapse software made everything stop. Turning it on, problem returned. Did everything: Reinstalled a hundred times, clean  unninstalled everything, manually and using the support software, forced different drivers - Windows and Synapse donwloaded, eveyrhting you could think, and nothing worked… And then, i updated my Deathadder V2 firmware from 1.2 to 1.4.0.1 (latest) and, now, the Macro simply doesn’t work. The PC and the software recognizes the mouse and every function, the DPS and RGB works fine, but the Macro simply doesn't work anymore, as if the macro software can’t even recognize the mouse…

And, cherry on the top, Razer don’t allow us to rollback either the Firmware or the Software…

Congratulations, Razer… I had used your mice for over 15 years, and now you are making me want to burn mine on the pyre and never lock back at your brand again...

i am having the exact same issue as you

I’m also having some issues with similar behavior. I even reinstalled Windows 11 and it’s still doing it after reinstalling only Chroma and Synapse. It was behaving until fairly recently. It seems like something in one of the last few updates has the startup and sync behaviors not functioning well.

In fact my only real complaint until recently was that I had to manually reconnect my WD_Black SSD in the WD/Sandisk Dashboard software for RGB on every reboot since for some reason the Razer software wouldn’t start the color cycling until I did. It was setup for Chroma Connect and the Dashboard app is also set to startup, but I still have to Disconnect/Reconnect in the Dashboard software every time for it to start the actual color cycling.

Back to the issue I'm seeing now. What happens for me is that it takes quite a while if ever for the RGB to start working on my devices, and when trying to use Synapse or Chroma it behaves slowly and then eventually fully loads...but even then switching between tabs can cause it to break again for a bit. I’ll sometimes have to wait a few minutes for it to load everything again. When this happens if I try to open the settings from the system tray it just loads a white screen for several minutes until it finally reloads and renders the settings screen.

This started happening a couple months ago, but I didn’t really notice how bad it was. I just thought the RGB was taking a while to load...then I realized all the other issues.

I did notice when I completely removed the software and installed Chroma only that it behaved slightly better, but as soon as Synapse 4 joined the party...it all went downhill again. I also had an update from Lian-Li for my AIO software so I thought it might have been that, but even after the Windows 11 reinstall and having the Razer software installed first it was still doing it.

The only “unusual” thing about my setup is that I disabled the driver extension in from the keyboard in device manager that enables it to work like an Xbox controller since it was preventing my actual controllers from working.

Mine crashes the display driver with a driver time out and won’t open the modules for the Razer devices I have connected...I like the devices but Synapse 4 is causing a lot of grief...
