Synapse highjacking GPU fan

I bought myself a Blackwidow v3 Pro for my stationary (Ryzen and Radeon built) pc, that I assembled a couple of years ago. I installed Synapse and by the second it loaded, the GPU fan went haywire, running at max RPM. The second I uninstalled Synapse, it went back to normal. Can anybody tell me why Synapse is highjacking control from AMD Radeon Software? And can something be done about it? I did read a lot about fan controls, but it's mainly about Razor Blade 15.
