I can set up a text macro in Synapse which seems to work OK in Notepad/ For example one is my email address, which I need to type in multiple times a day at work to log in to various apps. In Notepad is all works as you would expect, but when I use it “in real life”, like in a web browser to log in somewhere or in WhatsApp, it sends whatever is in my paste buffer as if I’d pressed Control/v - the last thing I copied for pasting. In a web browser and for some app login prompts, it sends the paste buffer on the first attempt after copying something, and thereafter does send my email address or whatever the text string is for that button. So I press the button, it pastes in what’s in the paste buffer, then I delete that and press the button again and my email address appears as wanted. But in WhatsApp it ALWAYS sends the paste buffer and never the email address or whatever the text string is for that button. I've tried different buttons and it always pastes instead of sending the programmed string.
I *know* I am not doing anything wrong, I’ve been in IT for over 30 years, but is anyone else experiencing this?
I have a Razer Naga Pro at home and a Naga Chroma at work and they both exhibit this problem in exactly the same way. I therefore conclude that this is a problem in Synapse3.
Can anyone offer a solution?
