What is the maximum SSD size for a Razer Blade 15 2023 | Razer Insider

I see conflicting information for the amount of storage I can upgrade my 2023 Razer Blade 15 I recently purchased. Under the FAQ section for my model, the “How do I upgrade the storage on my Razer Blade” question states right at the top that “Upgrade up to 4 TB per slot.” However, under the specifications section for my model (RZ09-0485Z) under the storage specification it says “1 TB PCIe Gen4 M.2 (2 NVMe 1-sided drive); (Max Upgradeable - 4TB, 2 slots)” which seems to read that the total between the two slots is 4TB.

So my question is the system capable of only 4TB total, or could I upgrade to 2 4TB drives (one per slot) for a total of 8TB?

I have both a 2Tb drive for the OS and a 4Tb for everything else. Both are single sided SSD’s if that helps.

Any idea if this would work with 15” 2022 model?

I would recommend you watch this YouTube video

It shows a guy upgrading a 15” Razer 2022 with more RAM and two SSD’s both WD Black SSD’s which is what I used.
I hope this helps.

lol Thanks, that’s what I used as well to upgrade my RAM and drive as well 🙂 I maxed out the RAM but went for a 2TB second drive. Now I kinda need 4GB, otherwise I’m left with very little space, but I don’t know if the 2022 version will support it. You have the 2023 version, right?

I do have the 2023 version yes. I would imagine that as 4TB drives have been out for ages anything which would support 2TB would also be capable of also supporting 4TB.

Makes sense. Worth giving it a shot, for sure. Thanks.
