Why does my Kraken headset have random crackles in the audio?

Not too long ago, I bought a Kraken headset (Just the normal one. Not an ultimate or a V3) off of Amazon as I needed a new headset because my old one was basically done. I have been extremely happy with the headset until today when I noticed weird static coming through the right earphone almost constantly at this point. It is somewhat quiet at the moment, but it does get louder whenever there is something on the cable. As I am writing this, there is nothing sitting on the cable and I can still hear the static. Is this fixable or do I need to exchange it?
