YEELIGHT X RAZER BRIGHTNESS

Have purchased two yeelight x lights , set up in app, set up yeelight station and yeelight connect, all seems ok except cannot turn lights lower, if i lower brightness in yeelight chroma connector the yee lights flicker as thought turning brightness down but instantly return to full brightness(trying to turn down using brightness touch bar does not work), want to run in chroma but at a reduced brightness, any help assistance appreciated, yelight chroma connector 1.0.13 razer synapse 3.7.1103.110716 yeelight firmware 2.1.7-0033
