Ripsaw HD stream lagging

so I recently bought the ripsaw he, I’ve been running the hd60s for about a year now and never had any issues with capturing smooth footage before, now the new card is having serious lag and freezing issues. I’ve tried changing every setting in a multitude of ways, tried different recording software, slobs, obs and elgato game capture and they all have the same issues. The pass through for 4K is working fine and I’m not dropping any frames according to the frame counters, not sure if it’s a card problem or a software issue but any help or advice would be appreciated.

Just started having issues with my ripsaw as well. it kind of annoying
Same here. Just out of nowhere it got pretty laggy to the point where I had to go back to my Elgato. It is beyond annoying.
Kind of an old thread, but I had a similar issue with the Ripsaw HD I received today and found out that the USB cable included in the box was a dud. Swapped it with a different USB C cable and then the unit worked flawlessly.

Shame too, considering its a nice cable.

My god I literally cannot believe it was that simple, it worked for me as well, you’re a god who deserves all good fortune to come your way

I tried this as well. The video didn't seem to be choppy at all after switching to a different cable, but when I quit the game I was testing it with, the output of the Ripsaw HD went black and I couldn't get video out of it after that. o_O I'd like to burn this thing to the ground at this point. :mad_:

I had the black screen issue at first but after resetting everything and replugging in all the cables it’s stopped having issues or black screens
I just spent more than an hour trying all this, but no dice. Tried swapping cables, connecting/reconnecting, rebooting, removing and re-adding the sources, etc. Audio works fine, as does the 4k passthrough, but the video is inconsistent to non-existent. Soooooo frustrating.
