Desktop Setup Suggestion Please...? Thank You in Advance :D

Hey guys, hopefully all of you are as fit as a fiddle.

Recently, I am using Asus Vivobook S15 laptop playing online games. However, I am planning to build my own gaming desktop with combinations of components that are on point. Throughout my survey, I have found out that I could build a gaming pc using :

CPU : AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core 12 Threads 3.6GHz
MotherBoard : MSI B450 Tomahawk
RAM : G Skill Ripjaws V 8GB (2 x 4GB) 2666MHz
SSD : Intel 660p 512GB
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060
Power Supply : Seasonic Focus GX-750 120mm Full Modular Power Supply (750W, 80 Plus Gold)
Cooler : DEEPCOOL GAMMAX GTE V2

So far, I found out that these setup cost me approximately RM8000++ and I am still doing surveys to get better setup. Hopefully you guys can hit me up with suggestions and tips for me to build a satisfying gaming desktop. Thank you for sharing and I really appreciate it.

if you have the patience you can go with ryzen 4000 series
I would change a few things.
1. I would go with GSkill Trident Z Neo.....made for AMD and go 16 gig @ 3200mhz
2. I would opt of a EVGA RTX 2070...just a better GPU...IMO.
3. SSD...I would opt for a M.2 Samsung 970 Pro.
4. Go with a Ryzen 7 3800x as the prices are falling fast.

That is directly related to jedramos suggestion on waiting for the 4xxx series CPU line that should come out later this year. Hopefully sooner than later.

You'll need to change out your mobo to a X570 chipset as it is dedicated to the Gen 3 CPU's. Your's is for Gen 1/2....you can still use it but you'll need to update the BIOS before you can use it. Easier to get a X570 mobo.

Good setup, however, I would build a 2 SSD with it. 500GB is little and depending on the games, the thing is full after 3-4 games. Ram I would go to 16GB, then haste something reserves and here I would also take the 3200. The power supply is good, could even support 2 RTX 2060.
More RAM, 8 GB is too low!

Stay away from the B450 series if possible and go with the X570, brand of your choice. It's way better across the board.

Then go with the Ryzen 7 3800x. With this CPU it comes with the Wraith CPU cooler. So no need for an after market CPU cooler. It just as good if not better then the EVO 212 or the DeepCool.

For your RAM ....Gskill is and excellent choice. I would go with the Trident Z Neo. This are made for AMD and go with 16 GB. You can get a matched set for $88 USD on Newegg.com.

For you SSD are you wanting to with the standard SATA type or the new M.2 type? In either case I would suggest Samsung or WD. I've used both and never had any issues.

It would help to know what your budget is.
