Currently have an xperia xz1 compact. Would be tempted to get a bigger phone if:
1. Razer phone has waterproofing. Minimum ip66/67.
2. Razer phone's back logo has Chroma RGB. Can setup to strobe during a call. The only feature I miss from the iphone is the strobe light ringer.
Please please.:cool_:

All I want is a 3.5mm headphone jack. That's the only thing I hate about the razer phone.
Or at least, make a kraken mobile wireless version.

Ok. so we have a phone but ... ... ... Where is Lapdock aka Linda?
No Linda no deal.
I could close my eye for most of the phones minuses but Lapdock for me is a deal breaker.

Because it's a gaming phone, it would be great to have improved cooling solution and improved battery life.
Because it's a Razer Phone, it would be great to have Synapse 3 compatibility and a way to control the Chroma lighting of our devices through the phone.
Keeping the THX Certified dual front facing stereo speakers while adding a headphone jack is also a big plus!
Yeah, its got a big battery but doesn't last as long as some other phones with smaller batteries. Razer has got to work out how to save battery life.

If the info on Gsmarena about design of the Razer Phone 2 is true it would be a disaster. In the era of bezelles phones you decide to create ugly brick? It is very bad idea. You could leave dimensions of the RP1 if you want it to fit in lapdock that you have created but those big bezels are ugly! I am afraid that it shows that RP2 is just a side project in which you do not put to much effort. So why buy something which company is not treating seriously?

5 minutes of paint and....
I don’t care about bezel I only care about inside, 845 isn’t new and it’ll come 7nm chips with 855. Apple has just used 7nm (a12) chips on their new iPhone with huge performance bump over 10nm (similar with 845) on A11 Bionic. And even 845 10nm chips performance couldn’t catch 10nm A11 Bionic, so for 750 bucks I’ll get iPhone Xr only for the 7nm chips performance. I wish they update it at least to 855. And on real gaming experience like FPS and loading times even 845 is this year android flagship, but it’s not huge difference that worth upgrading from 835.

Well my Sony xz1c got ground into the pavement a while back in an accident so I've been rocking the xz2c for about three weeks now.
I love having the fingerprint on the back instead of the side button, I love how they rounded out the corners so it doesn't dig into your hand anymore. I don't like how it is now as big as heavy as my iphone 7, you can hardly call it "compact" anymore but it feels great in the hand and pocket and I was on the phone for 11 hours total one day last week and not once did I feel like my hand was getting sore from holding it (tho I switch from headphone, speaker, earpiece, etc throughout the day). XZ1c always got sore hand after 5-10 minutes and have to switch sides because the corners were squared off.

What I want in the next Razer Phone 2 is a Snapdragon 845, an OLED display, a headphone port with DAC, a stereo speakers a better battery, and camera improvements, because it was a weak point notable in the the first Razer Phone.

I personally want 855, 7nm Chips to compate a12 bionic chips with same 7nm chips on new iPhone Xs/r. They have time for that since this 855 seems will come later this year. But your cpu wish seems being true according this. I rather upgrade my 6s plus to IPhone Xr and wait Android upgrade on Razer Phone till next gen 7nm Chip, it seems boost a lot cpu and gpu performance and energy efficiency from previous a11 Bionic that is already unbeatable by 845.

This.
Would love to see a controller made specifically for it as well. I mean heck, it's a gaming phone!
I would like to see a ir senser so we can control TV and would like to see 5g support on next phone and support for daydream vr and fm radio support
Agree the RGB would be nice but not really needed. Everything the Razer Phone has with a better camera and better 1st party cases as all the current ones leave the bottom of the phone exposed.
Speaker grills attract way too much fluff and dirt and a night are to keep clean so happy to drop some sound and gets some IP protection. Smaller would be better as I tend to just use exspesive wireless close backs. Not fussy about headphone jack but may be nice for some customers.
Battery minium of 4000mah and maybe a controller bank with extra battery pack inc.
Up to date blue tooth standards and audio codec
The Camera although the has came along since day one still isn't premium quality so this needs a better camera and software with lots of features all the other phones are getting.
Accessories such as Project Linda otherwise people will end up going for the competing ROG phone as their aiming their product at the gaming market along with OLED screen and all the accessories a gamer will need and want. The 90hz refresh rate one the OLED screen would be better than the current model if you can't increase the brightness of the screen lower the refresh rate.
The only reason I'd want a new razer phone over the ROG is if project Linda was released for my Razer Phone / Razer Phone 2 but would be upset if razer didn't bring out any accessories for their 1st phone.
Or a new Razer Tablet - I can ask
Maybe more internal storage 128gb or 256gb storage
Gorilla glass newest version
Keeping the phone update monthly with security's update rather than one in a while when you feel like it. Keep your customers up to date on security.
Basically build something better than than the ROG phone

Just a few quality of life improvements would be my main focus. Personally, for me I would want:
- Some quality of waterproofing even if it sacrifices some sound quality.
- Slightly better camera, Not expecting an iPhone X camera but something with a respectable range
- The USB C cable to be less bulky - I love the razer cable but it doesn't fit most 3rd party cases due to the huge square design.
- A Stylus could be nice and utilize the size of the screen but would also like a "one-handed mode" for when I have hands full but need to type.
- Finally, I would like the coating on the phone to be a higher quality. over time the coating scuffs and marks very easily and comes off almost glossy in some areas around the edges of the back of the phone
Mainly the Waterproofing and the Coating as my phone doesn't look or sound as good as it originally did and I clean mine regularly this being due to moisture being caught in the grills and the case marking the phone's back.
The RGB isn't really important as I feel it would help drain the battery but maybe a more noticeable LED indicator with some kind of "Chroma" customization would be nice. I'm not against the LED strip but don't want to lose battery for it.
Would be interesting to see if we could get the Razer Synapse Software on the phones that way we could carry Gaming related info/Profiles/Ect, I know that Razer had this idea with the NABU but most of us would take our phones everywhere so a Nintendo DS-style Street pass function could be cool and implemented into their game currency rewards for attending Cons and stuff however that is just me spitballing

Tbh the only reason why I'm still holding my iPhone is because of the camera quality of the phone, hopefully they will improve it on the next one! I don't really care about the lack of water resistance and headphone jack cause I use the hammerhead BT 100% of the time, but it will be nice to have it!
1. Perfect amoled 2k or higher display with 120hz
2. Lapdock(Linda) + OS(something like Samsung Dex OS) - this is my killer feature.
3. BIG efficient battery
4. Phone + Lapdock not more than 900 €
Good option would be to be able to boot linux on lapdock(check linux on Dex)
I will switch from S8+ without a blink in my eye.

IDK, xz2 premium pricing was just announced and it's under $1k (if barely...) I remember saying if it was at or under $1k I would strongly consider it.
And who in their right mind plays games on a phone:confused_: Pay $7.99 for 20 magic beans and it's 3 beans per game or you wait for 4 hours. I don't think so.
The red hydrogen will also hopefully be released (maybe?) this year. The scalloped sides look very nice and it can be had in titanium. I would want to keep it for 2 or more years for it to be worth the price tho.

I work in a noisy shop, so the iphone's strobe light on the back is very helpful. I know razer could one-up that. Too bad iphone is unreliable, I would have to occasionally reboot it to receive phone calls, as often as a few times a month! I make 50+ phone calls a day for work, I can't have a cell phone be unreliable at all so I had to switch over to android.
First X compact and now XZ1 compact, the androids have been very good to me since 2016 when I switched.
With max volume I can wake up my neighbor when I set the alarm;) Yes it’s nice light notification on such loud environment though. Hey they did now on Blade 15 lightning back to be accessible through synapse with breath effect, so finger crossed for that feature on Razer Phone 2 that connected to ringtones. As original Razer Phone ...ugh ugh LE;) owner I’d like to see more pheriperals, maybe case with chroma effect that turns on the light when vibrations from ringtones comes...that also has battery pack...that’s only my fantasy though;)

I don't really care for rgb , it should have a led indicator with mutli color, maybe a pen , it already beat half the competition, just a nice design for the phone.
