Might be good for a laptop, if you want a usable and removable device.
Only just moved away from the console to PC and this gets released. Shame I don't have an Xbox though, haha.

Just as a quick note if anyone did not know:

Speaking with Razer Support, the rep informed me that the Turret for Xbox One does include a 3.5mm audio port, as well as a USB pass-thru on the keyboard. This information is not anywhere on the product spec list on the website, nor has it been mentioned in any of the tech showcases/sneak peeks.

I was worried about purchasing this when it released as I currently use a Kraken Pro V2 headset with my XB1 which plugs directly into the controller via 3.5mm. My fear was that my headset would be unusable, as if it was plugged into the controller while using the wireless K&M, the XB1 controller would idle and turn off due to no input as the power saving feature activates and with the controller off, no audio is transmitted either. I definitely did NOT want to spend $250 just to find out I’d also have to spend another $100 for a new wireless/USB headset just to be able to use this product.

The rep tried to get me a “master-guide” for the Turret (whatever that is) but apparently couldn’t find one/wasn’t allowed to give it out?

Anyways, if you’re using a 3.5mm wired headset, don’t worry as it will work with this new peripheral, especially if it’s another Razer product, he assured.

👍
Is this beauty made of metal or plastic? Guess it will be plastic for weight reasons -i would replace my Blackwidow X Chroma TE if it was the same sick quality.

Please Razer:release this Keyboard (wireless + Keyless + metal) for PC

So far with everything I’ve seen it looks to me like this is based off a BlackWidow keyboard, which all the BlackWidow models (X, TE, Chroma, Ultimate, etc) are all made of metal construction. It seems to have all the same basic features and the same switches (Razer Green) for a mechanical keyboard, the only difference is that this is wireless. I’m guessing this is going to have the exact same quality as a BlackWidow X, and it appears in Engadget’s sneak peek preview at a private showcase they did mention it was made of metal.

And it really appears that a BlackWidow X TE Chroma is the exact model it looks to be, especially price point-wise:

The Turret is going to retail for $250..let’s break it down

A regular BlackWidow X TE Chroma has the exact layout and same features, and retails for $100 separately

The Turret has been confirmed to be including the new Mamba Wireless mouse which retails for $100 by itself

So that would put us at $200, which means for $50, you’re getting a mousepad that’s built in and magnetized, and the single wireless dongle functionality.

Pricing seems spot on for all the features, I’m pretty much 99% sure that this is exactly what we’re getting - A BlackWidow X TE Chroma keyboard and Mamba Wireless mouse with a connected mousepad built in to the housing.

Engadget’s sneak peek video () at about the 2:15 mark he states “the rest is pretty attractive and very simple, just a black metal slab”
Yes! Time to destroy the people on controller.
