It is the same as trying out different/new glasses.
Everyone have unique facial shape, which is why they adjust the glasses frames so that it does not press to hard onto the skin.
I have heard in the past, people face difficulty with new headsets due to the above reason.
Since RAZER headsets cannot be adjusted, your ears just need time get use to the presses from the ear cushion.

Might not help, but did you see if a different type of cushion would help? I have two different headsets, one with leather and one with foam and fabric. Maybe that would help if your ears are ever sore you can just swap them out?
