Insiders!

Games aren’t just fun — they can teach us things that stick. Maybe a title taught you patience, teamwork, empathy, or how to think under pressure. Maybe it helped you through a tough time or changed how you approach real-life challenges.

Tell us:

  • Which game taught you the lesson?

  • What happened in the game that taught it?

  • How did it change you as a player or a person — and do you still use that lesson IRL?

Share your stories and let’s celebrate the small (and big) ways games make us better!🌟

💎 And don’t forget — by joining in, you’ll also get a chance to snag the Weekly 5000 Razer Silver!

Elden Ring taught me to be patient, Valorant taught me how a real team works, it helped me through my fear to talk to people and a lesson that I keep in mind everyday is that it worth to be patient sometime to reach the end, and that communication is key

dota 2 taught me teamwork

Rainbow Six Siege taught me patience and strategy. You have to work with your team and be aware of where everyone is. I still use the skills of patience, strategy, communication, and teamwork to this day.

The original Crash Bandicoot was absolutely a test in patience and thinking under pressure for (much younger) me. The controls back in the OG Playstation days were nowhere near as responsive as contemporary ones, and saving when and where you wanted wasn’t a thing yet. And the number of times that first boulder run got me, oof. I had to take a couple breathers, but went back and tried again - and eventually beat the game. Every run taught me something new, or served as practice, and that patience and practice comes in handy anytime I face a challenging puzzle or boss fight these days.

Counterstrike: Source taught me how important communication is. This was when mics were very rare and even a simple “Three contacts A” let every know that there were two unaccounted for without having to stop and type easily meant the difference between winning or losing.

Helldivers 2, it is always so chaotic, and democratic, it taught me true teamwork, its literally a co-op shooter, the lore is so amazing, everyone just agrees to it and plays by it, so democratic I swear.

It also taught me how to actually have fun in a game, because competitive shooters are just stress man

Dark Souls taught me patience like nothing else. I used to rush into battles, get frustrated when I failed, and almost quit because the difficulty felt unfair. But slowly, I learned to slow down, study enemy patterns, and accept that failure was part of the process.

It changed the way I deal with challenges in real life too. Now, when I hit a setback, I don’t see it as “the end,” just a chance to learn and try again with better strategy.
