The game of patience training, for me, is Dark Souls.

Every corner hides something that wants to kill you, every chest might be a mimic, and every boss fight feels like a masterclass in suffering.

I hated the original Dark Souls for the first half of the game, especially with how buggy it was when it first came to PC (I literally fell through the floor 5 separate times and lost all my souls because they were outside of the map) then something just clicked. I no longer went into fights trying to win, but instead trying to learn.

After DS 1, 2, & 3, by the time I got to the end of Eldenring I beat the final boss Elden Beast on the first try.

Now I’m soloing (multiplayer is too easy) my way through Nightreign having beaten 5 bosses so far with the self imposed rule of only using a different character for each boss.

Helldivers 2 has taught me patience, managed democracy is delivered not through us helldivers rushing in, but being patient, calmly defeating the enemies of super earth. The first galactic war lasted a while, but we beat our enemies, eventually, thats all we need. Keep getting into your hellpods and kill those undemocratic creatures.
