Blackshark v2 pro THX Audio not working

I have the same problem. There was an update to Synapse 4 today, and after that THX is not working, equalizer levels are not working, and enhancement effets are not working.

Blackshark V2 Pro 2020 or 2023?

Also which Synapse version do you use?

To fix Razer Blackshark V2 Pro THX Audio not working, you should update your headset's drivers and Windows updates, set THX Spatial Audio as the default audio device in Windows settings, ensure THX is enabled in Razer Synapse 3, disable conflicting audio software like Nahimic, and if problems persist, try a clean reinstallation of Razer Synapse.

This is outdated advice. THX is not a separate audio device in Windows. This was changed by Razer quite a while ago.

Strange… it was fixed some time ago. So probably they’ve done this again - they broke already fixed thing.

I’d also recommend to try the “open beta” version which may have fixes quicker than stable version: 

At least I don’t have any problem with EQ or THX on this version @ Blackshark V2 Pro 2020.

I figured it out! 

Headset:  Razer Blackshark v2 pro (2023)

OS:  Windows 11 Pro 64 bit

Software:  You will need the newest release of SYNAPSE. (Version 4, not 3). 

You will also need the “Driver cleanup tool” from Razer.  It’s a zip file so just extract it and get it ready.  Lastly, you will need the “headset pairing Utility” from Razer.  Everything is from Razer. Don’t download from anywhere else.

First step:  Uninstall every razer application but uninstall Synapse last. Take all the USB dongles out of the computer before you uninstall anything.  Restart.

2nd step:  Run “Driver cleanup tool”.   Restart

3rd step:  Open device manager and select “show hidden devices” and look under “audio inputs and outputs” and/or “sound, video, and game controllers”.  DISABLE any “realtek” or “realtek soundwire” audio drivers.  I had to disable 2 that had the same name.

4th step:  This is where I had to get creative to make it work.  Turn you headset on, just on, not pairing mode. just turn it on, and then hit the power button 3 times fast and hold it down the 3rd time.  This will reset your headset incase your profile is “corrupt” causing you to revert back to beginning of this process undoing all your work.  This step is crucial to getting it to work. 

5th step:  Now run the “headset pairing utility” from Razer and you will open Synapse when it finishes.  It will download the THX spacial audio and install it so it takes a few minutes, let it finish.  It will ask you to restart and definitely do that to finish.

If you have any other issues, just contact me.  I literally tried to fix this for more time that I’d like to admit, so chances are, I’ll know what you did wrong if you just give me detailed description and I’ll respond.

This is hard to do but it does work as I said is earlier post.
