So I just got the Kraken Tournament Edition headset and the sound is VERY low, almost inaudible. This is the case no matter where I plug it in, different computers, different jacks, usb or audio jack, phone, everywhere the sound is very low. All of the volume settings (realtek, synapse, and windows) are set to max volume but it doesn't help. Normally I need to keep the volume very low on headphones because they are so loud but these ones are both low volume and terrible sound quality. Did I just get a defective headset or is there something I am missing?

I am having similar issue with my Kraken TE headset. Volume maxed in mixer, EQ, dongle wheel, microsoft sound mixer. I've checked everywhere, not sure what else to do. The really odd thing is that if I switch to Kraken TE Game option, I get no sound at all. Switching to Kraken TE Chat is the only way to get any volume whatsoever, and when in Synapse mixer it actually sounds loud (normal), but when playing any game, or watching youtube, or anything else, the volume is extremely low. Really frustrated and not sure what else to do. I've done clean reinstall twice and problem persists. Was working fine a few days ago. Hope someone can help.

Hello there. Have you tried to use the device with another PC to see if the same issue occurs? If not yet, please do and let me know how it goes. Also, was there any software or hardware changes when this issue started to happen?

Kind of late replying here, but could this potentially be a ground loop issue? E.g. does the sound get worse when you plug in USB speakers or the likes?
No, everything else works fine. It's something within the synapse software. Headphone volume is fine without it installed. Unfortunately, lose all surround/THX capabilities without software installed, but at least I can actually hear. Not sure how to fix, and apparently Razer can't figure it out either judging by the sheer volume (no pun intended) of problems that people post with similar issues.

Hi there! Please make sure that when you use the USB Audio Enhancer the following are set correctly in the Playback tab of your sound settings:
Kraken TE - Chat as Default Communication Device
Kraken TE - Game as Default Device
Also, have you tried to adjust the volume using the inline volume wheel? Let me know how it goes.
