Mouse Buttons not working in BlOps4 since update

The other day I had two updates pushed to me, one for Black Ops 4, and one for Synapse 3. Ever since then, my side buttons and wheel left/right aren't working properly in-game. My Chroma lighting across all my devices (keyboard, mouse, headset and base station) has become buggy and downright spastic at times, as well.

I did consider that perhaps Activision put something in place to nerf the extra buttons, but I don't think that's the case. For one thing, even changing settings on my mouse in Synapse is slow af now. The lighting thing may well be a separate issue, but I can't get a lighting profile to stick to save my life. And - this is the most telling part, for me - some of my side keys *do* work, but there's about a 5 second lag between pressing the button and the action happening in-game.

ETA: It's not just in-game, it seems that the issue with my mouse buttons is a general problem. I just haven't used to for work since the update ran, so I wouldn't have found out about that yet.

I was able to make it work, briefly, yesterday, but I don't remember what I did. I've done a full uninstall and reinstall of Synapse, which didn't fix the problem one bit. I've tried to find out how to roll back the update, but no dice. Patch notes would be a great thing to have when you drop an update. Just saying. Blops does patch notes - their notes didn't say anything about nerfing gaming mice in the last update, which I would *think* they would mention.

I can't even go back to Synapse 2, because it doesn't support my headset.

If anyone has any suggestions for how to fix this sitch, I'm all ears. I'd really prefer not to have to retrain my hands to *not* use the side keys anymore.
