Nari essential mic too quite

I got my nari essentials two days ago and quicky realised how quiet my microphone was. I play on playstation and I made sure I adjusted my microphone level to the highest and I was still very quite. I have been told that I can use the synapse 3 software to change microphone sensitivity, however the issue is some people are saying that whatever you save from the synapse 3 will not continue to the ps4 and will only work for pc. At the same time I asked somome and they said mic sensitivity can be changed. Im hoping this is true because for a £100 I am expecting a microphonethat is somewhat loud enough for my friendss to hear me. Please can someone help me as I am very confused and upset.
