I’m having the same issue. The compatibility page on this website specifically states “yellow switch” is compatible but does not list green switch.

I understand that you're having trouble getting your keyboard to show up in Synapse 3 on your Aftershock PC, despite trying different USB ports. It's frustrating when you're unable to utilize the Chroma Studio for your keyboard. Let's try to troubleshoot the issue and find a solution.

First, let's make sure to go through the basic troubleshooting steps:

  1. Restart your computer: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues. Give your PC a fresh start and see if the keyboard is detected in Synapse 3 after rebooting.

  2. Update Synapse 3: Ensure that you have the latest version of Synapse 3 installed on your PC. Outdated software can sometimes cause compatibility issues with devices. Check Razer's official website for any available updates and install them if necessary.

  3. Check device compatibility: Verify that your keyboard model is compatible with Synapse 3. Some older or specific keyboard models may only be supported by previous versions of Synapse. Review the product documentation or visit Razer's support website to confirm compatibility with Synapse 3.

  4. Try a different USB cable: If possible, test your keyboard with a different USB cable to rule out the possibility of a faulty cable causing the issue. A damaged cable can prevent the keyboard from being recognized by your PC.

If the above steps don't resolve the problem, here are a few additional suggestions:

  1. Reinstall Synapse 3: Uninstall Synapse 3 from your PC, restart the computer, and then reinstall the software. This process can help fix any potential software conflicts or corrupted files that may be preventing the keyboard from being detected.

  2. Update your PC's drivers: Ensure that your PC's USB drivers are up to date. You can do this by visiting the manufacturer's website for your PC or motherboard model and downloading the latest USB drivers. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause compatibility issues with USB devices.

Regarding your concern about the keyboard switches, the color or type of switches (green or yellow) should not impact the keyboard's recognition in Synapse 3. The software is designed to detect and control Razer keyboards based on their model and compatibility, rather than the specific switches they use.

If you have tried all the above steps and the issue persists, I recommend reaching out to Razer's customer support for further assistance. They will have more specific knowledge about their products and software and can provide you with further troubleshooting steps or potential solutions.

When contacting support, be sure to provide them with detailed information about your keyboard model, the steps you've already taken to troubleshoot the issue, and any error messages you've encountered. This will help them better understand the problem and provide you with appropriate guidance.

I hope these suggestions help you resolve the issue and get your keyboard working with Synapse 3.
