Will the New Razer Synapse support Philips Hue?

I too would love to know when Hue will be supported. Not having that as one of the main modules right off the hop is a legitimate deal breaker for me. Otherwise the app looks cool and all my other devices are seemingly working fine.

Would also be nice to just be able to directly and easily port over my previous studio profiles from S3. Switching back, but looking forward to future releases.

Is there any update on this? I’m stuck in a dark room now ;-)

I just tried the New Synapse. The interface looks really nice and feels smoother than Synase 3. But I got myself back to Synapse 3.

Because it’s too much third party device not working for now. I can not find my philips hue, nanoleaf and msi mystic light working with the New Synapse. The only third party device working for me is my Zeeray lightstrip :(

But I still like the New Synapse though. Looking forward Razer make all the device work and make an official release one day!

And no roadmap available, that’s a putty.

This is quite literally the only thing keeping me from switching. All my other devices, including my Chroma Control plug-in for asus and corsair, were working, but if it can’t handle my hue strips it’s a deal breaker. Any word from Razer on updates for it would be awesome, but then they’ve not had a great track record of sharing their plans with the community when it comes to the finer details at least :.(

Day 2 of Synapse Beta and realizing Hue Sync won’t work anymore,

even though Chroma Control is working correctly now and wouldn’t yesterday.

What do you mean? Razer officially said that there will be no Philips Hue support?

I doubt they will remove the functionality, but for all we know, it’ll be the very last thing to be added to the app. I still sit and patiently wait to hear if they will ever help out those of us who bought into the whole Hue + Synapse = <3 ecosystem. If there are any devs in house that could throw us a bone, and at least let us know that they are working on it, that would be fantastic….

Guys I have a theory now, Razer is throwing Hue support to prioritize their own Aether ecosystem.

Yeah, sadly I could see that. I downloaded the standalone install for S3 and I’m going to add it to my collection of software that I need that might die eventually, just in case. I don’t need to be screwing around with integrating Hue into some other app or extension to try get it to work with New Synapse.

OpenRGB is looking like a good alternative for myself and now that Andrew Babbitt has integrated Chroma Control into OpenRGB, I should soon be able to bypass Synapse and Armory Crate and still control all my lighting, so I may just say the hell with it some day soon.

It’s a problem when I have choosen Philips Hue (10 devices, between smartbulbs, lightstrips and spot lights) and Nanoleaf (40 panels) to add some personality to my room. But seems to be not woking any longer with a total lack of communication.

The integration with Hue is back and active again today.
No changes done from my side.

I’m trying to install the HUE Plugin, and it’s sstuck on “Waiting” and never installs.. Any ideas?

Are you supposed to see Hue in Devices & Modules? I don’t … how do you add it?

Thanks
