7.1 Surround Sound application will not launch

I just purchased a:  Razer BlackShark V2 X USB / Product numberRZ04-04570100-R3U1 from Amazon on July 10th, 2025 and received it on the 15th..  Registered my headset.  Received my 7.1 Surround Sound Activation Code.  Downloaded the 7.1 Surround Sound application.  Launched it.  And then…

Nothing.

The 7.1 Surround Sound application will not launch.

(I believe it has something to do with my AppData, but am not sure.)

 

I would  very much like to get the 7.1 Surround Sound application to run on my machine.

 

I have an MSI GE76 Raider 11UE-046US-SG71180H16GXXDX10MA with 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11800H, 16.0 GB RAM.  I do want to point out that I upgraded from the Windows 10 it came with to Windows 11 Home.

 

I can use the BlackShark V2 X USB just fine in games and applications like Discord.  But, it is frustrating that the 7.1 Surround Sound application will not launch, though.  I have installed, removed , and re-installed it multiple times. 

 

I’ve even uninstalled:

Synapse 4 (for my Blackwidow and Basilisk)

Synapse 2 (for my Orbweaver)

Chroma

Cortex

Axon

(which were all working fine) to just concentrate on 7.1 Surround Sound to launch.

In the:

C:\Program Files\Razer\RzAppEngine

the debug.log shows:

Again, can anyone help?

OK, got 7.1 Surround Sound to load and work on my work laptop.  No issues during installation.  And after logging in, putting in my Activation Code, everything seems to be all right.

 

Now that I’ve got a working copy on one of my computers, should I copy over the Razer 7.1 Surround Sound Program Files and then the associated AppData?

And yes, I would really like to get this working on my actual gaming computer.  So I at least have the option to utilize it or not.
