Barracuda X Chroma sidetone noise

Hi everybody,

I’ve just got a new Barracuda X Chroma headset. After I turned on sidetone, I hear some crackling/white noise in the background in my ears once the mic starts recording. Is low volume, but loud enough to annoy me when having the sidetone level on a minimum helpful level. It is only noticable in the real-time sidetone playback, but not in any recording.

Has anybody else encountered this?

Is this a bug on my specific piece or a production issue?

I compared with another piece of the same model and could confirm that it had the same noise, so I suspect it is a production issue.

To be clear though: it is very subtle and most people will probably not notice it. I can only hear it while connected with the dongle (not via bluetooth) and while no sound is playing and while the mic is actually active (it deactivates while no program such as a chat tool is using it)

The support was not helpful at all by the way. Only the usual software update things were proposed instead of just confirming themselves what is there. What a waste of time.
