Razer Kraken V2???Is this the best Headset?
Page 1 / 1
I love the look and the sound, but sadly I can’t get over the headaches I get from wearing it for extended periods of time, I get migraines bad so the amount of pressure they put behind my ears is too much for me, but as for sound quality and mic quality I’d say it’s definitely worth every penny
The Kraken V2 line (Pro V2 and 7.1 V2) are discontinued, and they have been replaced by the Kraken TE and Kraken. In this refresh, there was also a new budget oriented Kraken X introduced. You can view the comparison between all the new models here.
I upgraded from the Kraken 7.1 V2's to the Kraken TE recently, and I like it much more. The USB audio controller is very nice, and the oval ear cushions are better than the regular round ones that came on the 7.1 V2, and it is nice that I do not have to use two different versions of Synapse now. The THX spatial audio is very nice, although I can only use it when playing games since it decreases the quality of music quite a lot.
If you were looking for more of a mobile headset, go for the Kraken or Kraken X. The Kraken TE is very similar to the regular Kraken, except it comes with a audio controller that enables the THX spatial audio, along with bass control and a couple other features.
