Blackshark v2 xUSB mic mute and volume control knob not working

Hello. I just bought a new Blackshark v2 X USB headset, and I can’t get the mute toggle and volume knobs to work. I had searched online and one suggested disabling Synapse. I did that and it worked (at least with the volume knob. I had noticed an issue with the mic at that point). I tried that again last night and it didn’t work. I noticed there are a lot of posts about this on these forums, but they are all locked without showing a solution. If there is a solution, please let me know. Otherwise I’ll have to return it.  Thank you!
