Blackshark V3 Pro - Mute button issue

I’m a new owner of this headset. I’m wearing a headset all day, never owned a Razer before.

There is a huge issue I’m having with this one: Whenever I press the mute button, it near silences all sound completely for a brief moment. How can I disable this?

This makes the mute button unusable for me and I have to use a keyboard shortcut as a workaround. I would never buy a headset without a hardware mute button so I’m trying to figure out if I have to send it back.

A secondary issue I’m having is that the headset confirmation sounds are way too loud. How can I turn them off? Like I cannot put on the headset before I’ve turned out on since the confirmation sound is too loud. The headset volume itself is correctly adjusted for all computer audio.

Thanks!

The brief full-silence when you hit mute sounds like a firmware-level ducking bug rather than intended behavior — make sure your headset firmware and Synapse are fully updated, and check the mic and sidetone settings under your device in Synapse. For the loud confirmation sounds, look for the voice prompt or notification volume slider in Synapse or the Razer Audio app and lower or disable it there. If the mute behavior persists after updating, I'd open a support ticket since it's brand new and should be covered.
