Blackshark V3 x Hyperspeed Microphone Mute Button

Just got it today and noticed that the mute button makes a noise?? Why is this a thing? The noise is very obnoxious and not only that, it mutes my PC audio for a couple seconds? How did they somehow make the mute button function worse compared to last time..

 

Does anyone have any fixes for this? Or if anyone has information if they’re going to push firmware related to this complaint? I’ve done some googling and saw others complaining about it as well.

    I'm experiencing exactly the same issue, and honestly it's a huge step backwards.

    The fact that muting/unmuting the microphone plays a sound and interrupts all PC audio for a couple of seconds is completely unacceptable. I use this headset for work, and during meetings I mute and unmute my mic constantly. Having my audio cut out every single time is incredibly frustrating.

    This is one of the most basic functions a headset should get right. Muting the microphone should simply mute the microphone—nothing more.

    I really hope Razer acknowledges this and releases a firmware update to fix it, because in its current state it's a serious usability issue.
