Same issue, ever since I installed the Synapse Beta, when I turn my PC on in the morning it has switched default sound device in windows away from my speakers to my headset.

Did a test and it has nothing to do with the PC restarting, it seems when Synapse 4 starts up it will force windows to set the connected/known razer audio device as the default audio device whether this device is turned on or not.

100% same issue.. Every reboot it changes it to the blackshark.

Same here with my Nari Ultimate, it constantly resets to “Chat” instead of “Game” output

have the same problem to, hope razer will pay attention to it.

Was wondering what was going wrong, but it’s definitely this - whenever the synapse beta loads it changes the default sound settings. This is a critical issue - deal-breaker for streamers that need to use an audio mixer to manage sound.

This issue is, for some reason, intended behavior and i don’t care for it. I run my pc through an AVR sound system, but every time i restart or get a Synapse Beta update the sound output is again switched to my Nari Ultimate. 

And the issue lies in Synapse, since the audio device will not change if i disable Synapse from the startup apps.

CTRL+WIN+V is the shortcut to the audio devices, at least. Just press those keys and click your preferred output device

Razer:  Please change this “Intended Behavior” it is extremely annoying to have to change these every reboot, and I’ve even considered going back to the old Synapse and away from the Beta because of it.  This should not be the default behavior, or you should provide a way to control this behavior at the very least.

And it is not only this - Synapse Beta also complains every time that the “correct device” is not selected for Nari (although I believe Game should be the default device and not Chat - which Synapse Beta keeps setting the default to).

I also have this, I thought I was going mad. I have the Karaken Kitty V2 (pink wired) and it is setting that as my default output. I dislike this entirely as I have screens with speakers that I prefer my game sounds and browser sounds to come out of, while using the headset only when in voice chats with friends.

This 10 billion % needs changed and to not set the Razer device as the default device. If this isnt fixed I will uninstall the beta and revert or go with an entirely different software and brand when I can afford a new headset.

This issue is open since 3 months. Maybe we can get some update from the devs/Razer?

Would be great if I could test Synapse 4 again - but not with this broken setup. Right now I am back to Synapse 3

same here with kraken v3 pro. also had issue with visualizer which i need to manually launch the chroma software even though all settings already set. hopefully we get a nice update. loving it so far but if the minor issue fix will be more nice

Huntsman v2 tenkeyless, blackshark v2 SE, synapse 3 bug ( the program always minimize all the games), installed this synapse 4 stable version and surprise another bug this one the app change the default audio always… what a poor software engineering(this bug has not been fixed for more than one month OMG!!).

Same exact problem. I've done all the trouble shooting clean install, uninstall drivers, update everything, restarts. It's really annoying and wasn't a problem before the last update. I'm using the blackshark soundcard and everything is the default on my pc.

Can we get an update on this? Or at least select the most sensible Audio Output Device (Nari Game instead of Nari Chat).

It is annoying to change the Default Audio after every start/restart of Synapse 4.

The problem was reported 4 months ago, and there has been no progress since then? This is disappointing. :(

everyone report this problem in the client as well. hopefully they will see it and try to fix it.

I don’t think anything will happen.

I opened a support case with Razer - first you get tons of unrelated questions. Then, after sending them a video which shows how synapse changes the default device at startup you hear back from them after a few days where an internal team looked at this (I also sent them all these forum discussions as well).

Finally you get a mail stating that they need a screenshot of my default audio device - so this was my last Razer device. That support is simply non-existent.
