Kraken headphones disconnecting

My wife has been having issues with her headphones for a while. It seems to occur when there is a loud sound which triggers the headphones to turn off and back on. This has occurred with the Razer Kraken, and 2 separate pairs of Razer Kraken Kitty editions as well. We've tried different USB ports (2.0 and 3.0) and we've tried reinstalling synapse and trying without synapse as well. I can't think of anything else to try.
