Kraken Pro V2s - Comfort issue

Hello there! I got this headset for Christmas but they start to hurt my ears after an hour or two of use which my old headset never did so could Kraken Pro V2 owners give your input if you had this issue when you first got them? Do I need to just get used to them and they will become comfortable in a few weeks or will I always have this problem and I should start saving up for a new headset? I've got the oval ear cushions that came with the headset (they are not the cooling gel ones) and I don't really have a large head or ears. I've tried extending the sides of the headset and I've found that 3 and a half notches are the best fitting for me but that has only slightly made them better.

Give it a few more days and I think it'll get better. My Kraken 7.1 V2's were the same way, uncomfortable at first, just clamping too hard. After a few days they stretched out some and are great now. I'm also at the 3.5 notch

You said you already have the oval cushions, so there goes my response, although I did swap my round ones for cooling gel ovals recently and the difference was night and day.

Yeah they are getting slightly better, they were really bad day one so I will give it a few more days. It's definitely the clamp force being too tight but I'm hoping they will stretch out the more I use them

Yeah I'm really tempted to get the cooling gel ones although my ears don't particularly get hot when wearing the headset. Aside from the cooling, are they more comfortable than the regular oval ones that come with the headset or is it the same comfort with the added cooling to it?

Yup more comfortable. Prefer them over the round ones by far

To be honest, I didn't have any oval shape new before the gel ones I recently got - just the round non-gel ones - so for me it was a double-header.
