Kraken X Mercury painful static noise

Hi I bought Kraken X Mercury White a few weeks back and was working fine for a day or two until people I am speaking with in Discord and Messenger began complaining about a painful static noise or crackling sound. I also noticed that I do not hear this sound at all but only the people on the other end of the line when using the headset. I figured uninstalling the 7.1 Surround Sound software would fix the issue but it didn't. It just worsened as days go by. The issue happens a few times every day, and it's happening regularly. It of course disappears whenever I replug it but the issue reoccurs after just a few minutes. This happens both on my ASUS ROG laptop as well as on my iPad Pro (where I have to use a 3.5mm jack to Type C dongle/converter). So I am assuming the problem lies on the product itself and not on any of my devices. Please help
