Lights and audio going out on start up in my Kraken V3 X headphones. | Razer Insider

Recently my Kraken V3 X started having this issue where despite the computer detecting them, it doesn’t play any audio or turn on lights and I have to plug them in and plug out every time I boot up my PC for them to work. I had a similiar problem with my Viper 8KHz but I was able to fix it by updating the driver but I can’t find one for my Kraken V3 X on the official website and I tried using updaters for other Kraken V3s but that didn’t work. I installed Surround Sound but that also didn’t do anything. How do I update the driver on my Kraken V3 X?

Hello, @WaterDoggoo!

Are you using a USB hub? Try plugging it into your PC’s motherboard. Also, make sure the headset is set as the default device.

  1. Right-click on the speaker icon on the system tray and select “Open Sound settings”.

  2. Click “Sound Control Panel” under “Related Settings”.

  3. Right-click on the Razer headset and select “Set as Default Device”. It is the default device if it has a green checkmark on it.

If that didn’t work then you can drop me a PM along with your headset’s serial number so I can check for other workarounds.
