No sound or mic please help

I just bought a 2019 razer kraken headset to play on pc to record and such But it first wouldn't hookup my mic to my controller but did audio for game but if i did the jack splitter on my computer itself it wont hookup audio but it did my mic So confused I did alot of research and video looking and methods to fix either one but I got nothing I cant play games on pc now I'm new to pc gaming so go easy on me thank yall in advance please help me
