PC not recognizing my Kraken X

So yesterday I got this headset at best buy and I am now setting it up. I connected it and everything seemed right in terms of audio but when I installed the 7.1 surround sound software to my pc and set it to my default audio, I couldn't hear anything. Another problem is that my pc does not recognize my mic at all. The audio works in the Realtek High Definition Audio setting but not in the 7.1 one, and the mic it's like it doesn't exist. Any help? I couldn't find anything on this issue online :(

ive actually had that same issue, when i first set up 7.1, it worked but the day after it just stopped working
