This post is a post including information gathered from other posts and personal troubleshooting.

This took me quite a while but I still think I should help other people fixing the common problem with the Razer Nari Ultimate/Razer Nari/Razer Kraken TE or any other Razer THX Spatial Audio included product, in which there is a loud buzz coming out of the headset when instead you should hear sound.

Example of the sound.

(Video source.)

I am going to give you numerous possible fixes for this problem below:

I can not guarantee you these fixes/steps will solve your problem entirely or partially.

1.

Restarting your PC could always fix your problem, try this first if you haven't yet.

2.

Plug the USB dongle into another USB-port.

3.

Plug your headset into another PC, don't be too alarmed if it works fine there, it is most probably not your PC's problem, but you should still try this. If it does not work properly on another PC, the problem might be on the hardware side, please do try other troubleshooting techniques just to make sure you might be able to fix it with those.

4.

Re-install Razer Synapse and restart your PC.

5.

Uninstall and delete all of the headset's drivers. Go to Device Manager, then find audio-input and -output, now delete Headset (Razer Nari Ultimate - Game), Headphone of headset (2- Razer Nari Ultimate - Chat) and Microphone of headset (2- Razer Nari Ultimate - Chat).

6.

  • Kindly uninstall Razer Synapse from your PC and delete all files in C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Razer and C:\\ProgramData\\Razer directories. These folders may hidden by default, so please be sure to unhide them. We want to ensure that there are no residual files remaining that may corrupt your installation. This is important so please do so. Restart your computer afterwards.

  • Go into device manager, go to Keyboards/Audio inputs and outputs/Mouse and other pointing devices, uninstall HID Keyboard/Mouse Drivers and all other Razer product drivers, and restart your PC. (Be sure to select delete drivers as well when uninstalling.) (Possibly not necessary, I didn't do this because after trying this I wasn't able to use my mouse/keyboard to navigate to each driver I had to uninstall, and to restart the PC.)

  • Turn off all Firewall and Anti-virus software to prevent any conflicts. Download and install the latest version of Microsoft .NET Framework (4.5 or higher) at http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30653 (In some cases, you may need to uninstall the older version on your system). Restart your computer again. (Only do this if you don't have the latest version.)

  • Install the latest version of Razer Synapse that can be downloaded from the link below, and restart your computer again.

7.

Try the Razer Support team, only do this if you have no other choice because their support can be very unclear and confusing at times.

8.

Re-install Windows, this is only for the people who are willing to o this ofcourse, apparently this fixed the problem for some people.

Once again, I can not guarantee you that these troubleshooting steps will work (for you), I am almost certain this is a software side issue, and the software development team should fix this.

Now, if there's anyone reading this post, PLEASE reply with your fix or possible fix if you think you've found one that isn't included in this list. Also feel free to reply with some suggestions and tell me what worked/what didn't work for you.

Note: None of these steps fixed the entire thing for me, but I made THX work using some (possibly complicated) steps. Also if you want an easy way to stop the sound without for instance turning the headset off, try closing the program you tried getting sound from, such as google or spotify. For example if you start spotify and you play a song, that's when the buzzing should start, now close spotify or turn the spotify volume to 0 and the buzzing should be gone. (this is useful if you are troubleshooting and want to know if it works without having to turn the headset off and back on all the time.)

Support please read!:

Message to the Razer Reddit Support Team, please try contacting the Razer Software Development Team so that they can try fixing this problem in the software. I can make THX Spatial Audio work with some weird steps, but not permanently, and without changing any enhancements afterwards. This means the problem software sided because THX Spatial Audio can work if you mess around in Synapse 3.0 even though it doesn't work correctly, which means there is a bug in the software.

Why does support always think you have a case number? I don't have a case number...

Exact same problem. I have a case number OMMITED. Please fix, I temporarily uninstalled Synapse to make it work again.
I have the same problem with nari headsets. worked fine 6 weeks then this morning on the razer nari game I am hearing only a crackle noise. Uninstall synapse 3 , reinstall synapse 3 , uninstalled synapse 2 reinstalled synapse 2
all the work for nothing. if I plug them in synapse 3 on my laptop all is fine. but in desktop nothing. in synapse 2 with the surround downloaded is fine but when I install synapse 3 again problems.
I have all my devices from razer ( tertarus 2 , ultimate black keyboard, naga trinity, mosepad chroma, razer nomo desktop speakers, headset stand chroma) and I find it unacceptable to have this issues with the synapse.
If problem is not solved I will sell them all and buy different products. I have the PC for fun and unwind not for wasting time on solving issues for that price products.
If anyone is interested in buying them please let me know.
I even try to send an email but guess what no nari in the list of products you can ask for support.
seems like after some wasted time in my case worked uninstalling the drivers from device manager and reinstalled them.
lets hope this is it. still razer has to find a way that we enjoy using the products not having to special schools for hardware .
