Random Default Audio Device Changes on Startup with Razer Synapse 4

I usually use speakers, but Razer Synapse 4 changes my default audio device every time I turn it on.

My microphone is often changed to the headset microphone, but my main microphone is actually the Razer Seiren Mini. Since it doesn't support Razer Synapse, it doesn't get set as the default microphone on startup. This means that Razer Synapse 4 not only changes the default audio device on startup, but it also only changes to devices supported by Razer Synapse 4.

Additionally, the device changes made by Razer Synapse 4 seem completely random. My headset has two modes: Game mode and Chat mode. Sometimes it changes to the low-quality Chat mode, and other times to the Game mode. And these are just two options. If I were to buy more Razer audio devices, it would be disaster upon disaster. Imagine the chaos of having Synapse randomly choose a default device among three or more options every time I start my computer.

hope razer will pay attention to it.

I’m having a slightly different but similar issue. I was forced to switch to razer synapse after the beta version stopped working. However every time I power on my PC it chooses my razer (chat) as the audio output instead of (game) even though (game) it has been selected in the razer app as the default output device as well as in windows and device manager.

Razer support has been absolutely useless the past two times their app has had issues and I’ve found my own work arounds while support wanted me to jump through 50 hoops until they acknowledged maybe it was their problem and not windows.

I have the same issue, and the issue lies with Synapse, every time Synapse start up the default Audio Out is set to my Nari Ultimate headset, even if i set my AVR as the default output device in Windows.

This is intended behavior for some reason i cannot fathom.

I strongly dislike software that alter my settings, and it is not a bug. Changing my audio device to my AVR every time i restart or Synapse updates is getting tiring, and makes me feel like looking for another RGB eco-system that will not override my personal and preferred settings.

Also, please make it so we can alter the headset settings without setting the headset as the active audio output.
