Razer Kraken - too boomy, tips?

I just picked up Mercury White Kraken to match my Mercury White Blade 15; I find them a bit too boomy. Before 7.1 and with, really. Anybody feel similar and what did you do about it?

    My Kraken 7.1 headphones are not boomy. I have no issues while listening to music, but it can get a bit too much bass when gaming. You can turn down the bass in Synapse. I find that I have to tune the EQ for different audio. Even between Spotify, Pandora and YouTube. OK, especially YouTube. Then I will have custom settings for games sometimes also.
