I have some problems with my Razer Kraken V3 Pro, and it seems I'm not the only one. The device keeps intermittently disconnecting from Synapse and reconnecting minutes later, sometimes stays connected to Synapse, sometimes stays disconnected from Synapse. There seems to be some interference problems with Synapse, the Device and THX Spatial Audio too. Sometimes I hear crackling/interference in the sound from the headset. I purchased THX Spatial Audio from Razer website thinking it may fix the issue, but hasn’t solved the issue, if anything it’s complicated things more as Razer’s own THX Spatial app tells me to use Razer’s THX Spatial default as sound output. Meanwhile, Synapse tells me to use THX Spatial Audio by THX as default sound output. So there is a clash with the different drivers or something.

There also seems to be problems with charging the Razer Kraken V3 Pro, unless mine has a faulty battery or something. I have set my PC to go to sleep after 1 hour of inactivity, yet it stayed on all night, when I specifically only left it on for 1 hour to charge the Razer Kraken V3 Pro. When I woke up and checked on the headset, the device was acting as if the battery was depleted, and showing on Razer Synapse as if the battery was depleted. However, after unplugging then plugging back in and leaving the device plugged in for some 10 minutes or so and knowing something wasn’t right here, It was then showing the battery to be full, and then it lasted for hours of gaming. So something is faulty here, hardware and/or software.

Also, when the Razer Kraken V3 Pro is recognized in Synapse, it doesn’t show the percentage that the battery is charged, in Synapse.

Sometimes the connection with the device and synapse works fine but every time I turn my PC on and try to use the headset I have the same issues with the headset wireless connection. I’ve tried reinstalling/repairing all Razer Apps. Updated to the latest firmware on the device and dongle. Tried updating to latest drivers etc. Tried using 7 different USB ports on PC for both dongle and headset.

I’ve found that if I turn off the Razer Kraken V3 Pro and unplug the Dongle, open Task Manager and close every process related to Razer Synapse. Then plug the Dongle in and turn the Device on, then open Razer Synapse, then ensure the Default Sound Output is set to THX Spatial Audio. Everything then seems to function as it normally should.

I like the headset and software but shouldn’t have to do the above process every time so the hardware and software functions as it should. I’m getting very concerned about this device and the software and whether to contact Razer Support, as warranty for the device runs out very soon.

Please can I be advised, what should I do to fix the above issues?

Kind Regards,

Andrew

Instead of closing all processes related to Synapse as I said in the above process, I’ve now found that If I unselect the ‘Minimize to system tray on startup’ in the General settings in Synapse, this also seems to work for the connectivity issue and is a lot easier.

As I’ve said above, I think there is perhaps some compatibility issue with Razer’s own THX Spatial Audio app and Razer Synapse, so I’ve also Disabled Razer’s own THX Spatial Audio app and using THX Spatial Audio provided by THX and everything seems to function normally and now the headset seems to sync fine with Synapse. A waste of £20 for the purchase of Razer THX Spatial Audio app.

Still a bit concerned about a possible faulty battery in my headset.
