Razer Kraken V3 Pro poor sound quality

I recently received a pair of Razer Kraken V3 Pro as a gift because my 2012 Razer headphones were slowly falling apart.

However, to my great disappointment the sound quality of the new Kraken V3 Pro is absolutely horrendous. I have tried fiddling with different settings and using different USB ports in my PC. Unfortunately without any luck.

I refuse to believe that the headset is straight up worse than the ones I bought in 2012 from the same brand, so I am guessing that there is a button somewhere that has to be clicked, although the fact that the headset doesn’t arrive to the customer in ready-to-use condition baffles me. (I am aware that sometimes you have to fine-tune certain things upon arrival, but not being able to hear what people say in a Youtube-video is absolutely unacceptable to me).

The headphones sound muffled and lifeless and I can’t even activate the THX audio because I don’t have a code as they were gifted to me.

I have no way of returning the headset so please can someone assist me in finding out where that one button is located? Or alternativaly, just help me come to the unfortunate conclusion that the headset has no errors and is simply among the worst headsets to exist on the market.

Thank you very much!

. To address the issue, try updating the headset's firmware through Razer Synapse, as it could improve performance. Additionally, check if there's a physical mute button on the headset or in the software settings. If the THX audio code is missing
