Razer Nari Ultimate disconnect/reconnect loop if audio plays | Razer Insider
Skip to main content

Recently (as of yesterday) my Razer Nari Ultimate has been having a bit of a strange problem. It is fully capable of remaining connected via wireless dongle as long as audio doesn’t attempt to play through it. However, if audio does try to play through the headset it will cause the headset to disconnect momentarily from the computer, during which time the playback device also disappears in the sound settings. It will then almost immediately reconnect, followed by disconnecting again. This loops until the audio stops, during which time no audio ever comes from the headsets aside from the “boop” sound twice per loop.

I have updated synapse, tried to use the headphones without synapse (still happens), and used both the dongle recovery and repairing tools. None of these have managed to resolve the issue. I have checked that the usb ports are not faulty, as the ports work with any other device plugged into them.

Does anyone have any ideas for further things I could try?

same thing is happened to me, even currently. Hope razer finds a way to fix this since i am seeing alot of people have this issue, and it wasnt always like this.

Nari have some serious problems man I have had nothing but problems with mine wouldn’t recommend any Razer Wireless headsets

I have also encountered a same problem. Well to be honest for 2 years of using Nari Ultimate it was never THAT bad. But the same problem is happening to a lot of people lately. Hope RAZER get this problem fixed.

This is happening for me too. Has anyone found a fix?

This started for me 3 nights ago. as soon as audio attempts to play from these headphones now it switches inputs to a different audio input. Sometimes it will even play audio briefly before then switching or wont at all and just switches audio input settings. I have determined that it is related to an issue within the Razer Synapse 3.0 software. I have spent much time troubleshooting the issue to no avail.

Same happened to me two days ago, is this a software issue?

Any solution? I tried closing the app but it does not work

I feel like Razer may be doing this intentionally to phase out there now phased out Nari headsets in an effort to sell more of there newer headsets, hopefully I’m mistaken and they just messed them accidently in a recent Synapse 3.0 update or it is a conflict with a recent Windows update and something along those lines.

You can either connect them still via a 3.5 mm audio cable still essentially hardwiring them until they hopefully correct this with a upcoming Razer Synapse 3.0 update in the near future.

I have chosen to retire mine for now until hopefully this is fixed with a Razer Synapse 3.0 update and instead of upgrading I decided in this case to downgrade to my older Razer Kraken 7.1 v1 headphones that still use  the Synapse 2.0 software along with my Razer Chroma Mug Holder. I even picked up some replacement ear cushions for 6 dollars for them on Amazon. So I dusted them off and resurrected them and am back to rockin’ the  v1 Krakens until hopefully this is fixed in an update if it can be hopefully all our devices are not now toast unless connected via the 3.5 mm jack essentially defeating the purpose of them once being wireless headphones at one point. I’ll eventually bring out the Nari Ultimates out again and possibly connect them with the  3.5 mm jack and check connecting the USB receiver periodically to see if it has been resolved or if an update is available that will hopefully fix this.  As far as buying any new headsets from Razer…. this experience has really got me thinking otherwise.

please some one can help me with this ? i have win 11 and it disconcet all time

Same problems here guys, bought them 2 years ago but didnt use them 7 months...if they dont fix this they lost customer.

This is for me the to so many'd problem with these headphones, I used to have the normal once but they also broke after about two years. It is just ridiculous. If they respond to this thread and help us with this issue (I have the exact same issue as all of you) I might consider saying a customer but its ridiculous.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with this issue, I've had my Razer Nari for a long time, probably 2 years. this is the first time I've ever ran into any problem until now. I spent over an hour fighting to stay connected and trying to find any drivers needing updates and but nothing! I'm not sure what problem is occurring but I hope to see this get fixed, i’d hate to go buy a new headset / or go to a new brand.

I’m both glad and mad to see other people dealing with the same issue. I have had my Nari’s for probably more than 2 years now and never had any serious issues. About a week ago my headset randomly started switching which audio device was connected between every audio device connected (none of which output any sound during this time) until I unplug the headset completely. Really hope they find a fix to this, as there is no way I’m buying another Razer product again at this point. Keyboard aside, every Razer device I have bought has always given me tons of issues and broke after not much use. Shame this company cant seem to get their shit together anymore :\

You've already taken some troubleshooting steps by updating Synapse, trying the headphones without Synapse, and using the dongle recovery and repairing tools, but unfortunately, none of these solutions have resolved the issue. Additionally, you've ruled out faulty owespeedtest USB ports as the issue since they work with other devices.

I have the same problem since two months and there is no way to fix it. It's a Razer problem and they have to fix it...
