THE SOUND ON THE RAZER LEVIATHAN V2 HAS CHANGED!

Yesterday I downloaded the usual Synapse Razer update. From the update, I noticed that the Razer Leviathan V2 equalizer controls have changed. Because of this equalizer update, the sound on the speaker has completely changed! I loved using all the sound modes (games, movies, music), but now these modes sound different, especially the music mode! The bass is gone. Although the Bluetooth connection plays music perfectly, as before, and with dense bass. Now I can't enjoy music from my computer. Return everything as it was!

Same here! The subwoofer of my Leviathan V2 is dead on USB-input since de last Synapse update. It still works via Bluetooth with mobile devices. Thank you for making my gear worthless Razer. Stop torturing your customers with half finished amateur updates. Check twice before release.

I noticed this as well and played around with the settings a bit.  Let me preface this by stating that most of the problems everyone is having with the new update is similar to the issues I’ve had with this soundbar.  I couldn’t change the EQ as it would just freeze, and occasionally, if I was able to change it, no difference.  My issues seems to have been resolved after firmware updates and clean installs.

On to your topic:

After playing around with the settings, I’ve noticed the same thing you did.  The only suggestion I can give is that you uncheck the center focus and you will hear the deep bass as intended.  I use this youtube video to test:

You should start rattling around 83 Hz.  You can test this yourself by replaying the video and turning on the Center Focus.  For whatever reason, it makes everything “balanced” between the sub and the soundbar.  It doesn’t make any sense to have this as this soundbar does not provide a 5.1 or 7.1 simulated surround.

Be sure to play a video on youtube - something with a lot of action, and go through each option on Synapse to ensure you can hear a difference on each and find one that suits you until Razer can give us a proper update.  I feel that their idea is in the right direction, but it was poorly executed.

Cheers!

Hello! Dude, you're just a genius! Thank you for your help. Indeed, if you remove the “focus sound in the center” parameter, the sound becomes much better, including bass. It turns out that now the problem is precisely in the “focus sound in the center” parameter; it does not work well due to the new update, although it was quite useful. Okay, I recommend to everyone who has a Razer Leviathan V2, turn off this parameter, and the sound will be much better, including the bass. Good luck!

I just bought the Leviathan V2 and out of the box their was almost no bass, and fiddling with the synapse equalizer made no difference one way or the other.  After fiddling around all morning I found the culprit at least for me, posting here for any under same circumstance to try.

I found that my Synapse/Leviathan wasn’t getting along nicely with the SteelSeries GG app for my SteelSeries headphones.  Basically, if the GG app loads with the Leviathan turned on, the sound goes to junk.  So from now on, I have to block GG from starting in Windows, and when wanting to use my headphones I have to make sure to turn off the soundbar first so it disconnects from Synapse, then turn on the GG app.  And of course completely exit the GG app before turning back on the Leviathan soundbar.

So if you happen to have a quality headset or other sound device with a supporting app and have a sound quality issue with your Leviathan, following the above hopefully will help you.

Also, like what has already been mentioned, the “Center Focus” Synapse setting has to be left off for me as well for decent bass to kick in.
