Tiamat 7.1 v3

Honestly I would love a wireless Tiamat V3 with a PCI Express connection. I have the V2 and I love them, just wish the wire, which is very thick and stiff, wasn't as much of a bother.

Why would it be PCIe? Would it also serve as a sound card? Low latency USB dongle wireless works fine.

Not sure in dongle has enough bandwidth for 10 different speakers lol.

Realistically, a small adapter/amp that converts the analog connectors to USB would be cool too. Much like the RZR Ifrit has the USB audio enhancer. Still gotta fix that microphone. Although I failed to mention the reason most ppl don't like the Tiamat mic is because it picks up sound from the headset. I don't think making the mic bidirectional will fix that. Might have to seal the headset better, much like noise-canceling headphones. Still need a mic that eliminates background noise. Maybe some live audio processing thru that amp could go a long way. Also, making the amp an analog to digital converter or audio processor would take some stress off of the cpu without compromising audio quality. 24 bit fidelity / 192khz sampling though 10 distinct drivers. That way nobody is sneaking up on you. I feel like a lot of us would pay a premium for that.

Speaking of which, if razer rehashes the Tiamat with a DAC / headphone amp / audio processor, wouldn't it inherently act as an external sound card. I found a headset since then that is, in effect, what I'm asking of RZR. It's the Asus Strix 7.1. In effect, it acts as it's own sound card. Anyway, hoping this product, if produced... hopefully would have audiophile grade audio. I'm now leaning towards 32bit / 384khz sampling across 10 distinct drivers with Dolby, DTS, THX cert.

Honestly, I'm not expect a USB version of Tiamat 7.1 V3. Because I DON'T TRUST Razer would give a good DAC for it. You may end-up with a 16 bit 48000 Hz fixed output format and can not be changed to 44100 Hz. Just like the virtual version of Razer Surround. Think about the Mic. Even a flagship product's mic can't have a good performance, why would you expect more. In my case, I hope V3 can work without a computer (V2 can't just plug the USB to a charger and computer is required). So I can plug the five cable into my sound card, then plug the USB to my line power adapter. Then with those damn LED lights, once I turn them on, a kind of mosquito flying noise bother me. I can only turn LEDs off while using. Hope V3 to fix this so I can show my Chroma RGB to boys. On another hand, a USB version can't use mobile phone as sound card for some purpose. (DMCA copy right or DRM issue) For me, the point of Tiamat is it's on top Virtual Surround performance. I can find other good Mics and good sound card. But there's no other virtual surround product can beat Tiamat. No mater what it is. How about Sennheiser HD 800 + Dolyb Atmos & DTS Headphone X & Windows Sonic & SBX ? No one can beat Tiamat 7.1 V2.

Something equivalent to the Creative Sound BlasterX G6 dac that has the appropriate connectors for and functionality with an upgraded Tiamat would be the sweet spot. Rzr had a sound card called the Barracuda that was decent for the time period. It even had a set of headphones specifically for it. Something like that with USB 3.1 that I could use with a laptop as an external sound card is my preference.

So in the end you may wish to get a connector that sold separably to convert the six line into one. Actually, I check again, the Tiamat 7.1 V2 may have a DSP installed, that convert the analog output to digital, then do a process, then analog output to headphone speakers. In this case, the Razer DSP input may not detect if we use 44100 as sound card output, result in SampleRateConvert from the 44100 to 48000. By addition, Tiamat 7.1 V2 provided a ASIO interface for PC to use, this one may send the digital output directly to DSP so to avoid SRC? You maybe are right. A built-in DAC at least can tell us what output format to use in order to avoid SRC. Instead of five analog cable, perhaps Razer can provide five line in interface for user to decide which to use. I'm going to ask Razer support for detailed technology information.
