Almost all new headsets (that have USB port or USB dongle when wireless) are Synapse compatible. What headset you’re aiming for, then I’ll check for Synapse compatibility?

Uhm, I was thinking of one from the Barracuda series.
I read, partly in the product reviews, that these are not Synapse compatible, hence my question ^^

Yes and no.

Barracuda and Barracuda Pro are Synapse compatible headsets.

Barracuda X and X (2022) versions are not Synapse compatible. The newer Barracuda X 2022 version is compatible with Razer Audio App (available on iOS and Android).

If PC only, then I’d aim for Razer BlackShark V2 family or Razer Kraken V3 family. I’m using at home BlackShark V2 Pro (the older version without Bluetooth), and the quality (both audio and build quality) is really nice.

The problem for me is that I wear hearing aids and need a model with very large over-ear cups. in the black shark series, only the latest (2023) pro model appeals to me, because of the battery life.
I don't have that much money at the moment and it wouldn't be worth it either, since I'll be getting a cochlea implant in about 6 months. and then play the sound through my implant. I would then do the voice input via an external mic.

my hearing aids are a bit older, so they don't have bluetooth. and buying an external device with which I can connect the hearing aids to the pc costs around €600. So then rather a new headset.
