Raiju Mobile with Nvidia Shield

I'm trying to connect my Raiju Mobile with my Nvidia Shield, but an error message pops up saying "couldn't pair". The controller is showing up in the list but just doesn't want to pair. I've tried with my PS4 controller and I don't seem to have the same issue. Does anyone have any clue how I can solve this?
