FAQS

  • Where is the joystick on the Razer Kitsune?

Unlike traditional arcade controllers, there is no joystick or lever on the Razer Kitsune. It is a leverless-style controller that uses 4 buttons for movement inputs. As this layout is gaining popularity amongst the fighting game community, we seek to give pro and casual players a cutting-edge advantage with the Razer Kitsune’s release.

  • What are the benefits of using buttons for movement inputs?

While there are several benefits, the main reason is that the 4 movement buttons on the Razer Kitsune allow for faster, more efficient execution with a lower degree of human error, as inputs are performed with simple button presses. With standard 8-way joysticks, shifting the stick too much or not enough could result in accidental or missed inputs, which affects your in-game performance.

  • What does the lock switch on the Razer Kitsune do?

It disables the buttons along the top edge of the controller, which includes the menu/pause button. This feature is important for tournament play, as accidentally pausing the game can cause you to forfeit the round based on tournament rules.

  • Why does the Razer Kitsune have a lock for the cable?

It has a lock to prevent the cable from disconnecting. This feature is important for tournament play, as accidental disconnects can result in the game being paused, causing you to forfeit the round based on tournament rules.

  • Why is the Razer Kitsune so thin and compact?

It is designed for you to easily take the controller anywhere, from pro events to local tournaments, to casual play at your friend’s house.

  • How do you customize the Chroma RGB effects on the Razer Kitsune?

To customize the lighting please flip the tournament lock switch to Lock and then while holding down the share button press:
    UP/DOWN - Lighting Modes (Static/Spectrum Cycle/Wave/Breathing/Reactive)
    R1/R2 - Breathing Effects for Static/Breathing Mode
    L1/L2 - Animation Speed for Spectrum Cycling/Wave/Breathing
    Triangle/Circle – Brightness

To Cycle through different lighting modes:
Flip the Tournament Lock Switch to Lock > Press and hold the Share Button and press the UP button until you find the correct lighting mode.
Off > Static > Spectrum Cycle (Default) > Wave > Breathing > Reactive

To Switch between Colors in Static or Breathing Effects:
Flip the Tournament Lock Switch to Lock > In Static or Breathing effect + Press and Hold the Share button > Press R1 or R2

To Shift the animation speed in Spectrum Cycling, Wave, or Breathing Effects:
