Razer Raiju Ultimate deadzone and drifting issues

Hello, I've bought Razer Raiju Ultimate and testing it for a couple of days. Its firmware version is 1.10 Unfortunately, my right stick has deadzone when I turn it to the left and there is drifting when I turn it to the right. I've recorded demo video with those issues (0:22 drift and 1:17 deadzone): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=84ZjcuiANbI As I can see in this forum - drifting is firmware issue and a lot of people have it. But what about deadzone? Will it be fixed with firmware update or it is definitely hardware issue and I have to replace my device by warranty? P.S. If there is any possibility to get an access to beta firmware - I'd like to try it.

try this: /i-fixed-the-drift-on-my-te-edition.45759/
Thank you for your advice, I’ll try it out and I hope it will help to solve drifting issue. But I’m not sure if it helps with deadzone one.

hopefully it does, might be dust or material residue blocking sensors :)

I've tried this method - press stick down and blow with all my lungs. I'm testing it right now, but I can't reproduce drifting anymore (during 2 hours). But deadzone is still present. It is really annoying and ruins AIM, because I push my stick to the left and nothing is happening, then I instinctively push it far further and miss targets.

write to administrators, 1.02 helped only wirelessly, but now it has worsened, so maybe wait for the official soft,my controller rotates itself, catastrophe

Yes, I opened Raiju mobile app, connected to my Raiju Ultimate and selected ‘Reset’ option in the menu. If there is any other way of resetting the device - please, advice.

under the left pad (extra button, is it called M1?) there is a small hole (very very small), use a needle or something to push it down.

Oh! I’ve found it! Thanks) How long should I press and hold it down? Is there any time defined or just simply press it once or there is any indicator that resert is in progress and button can be released?

Thank you! Tried it two times but it doesn’t work for me - deadzone is still present. Also drifting is back again today and disappears for a while after “blowing trick”.

I’ve gone through the motions of resetting the controller, blowing into the sticks, resetting via app and disconnecting and connecting to power. I need to do those aprox once per day to make it work for 10h, after that issues reappear and I do the same thing. It’s workable till they come with a hopefully perma fix v1.02 beta btw

I’m OK with blowing into the stick once a day while I’m waiting till new firmware with fix comes out. But deadzone on the right stick on turning left direction is killing me:(( as I understand I’m the only one with this issue, so it may be hardware issue, otherwise more people would mention this deadzone issue here on the forum. It looks like there is no other way as claiming for replacement or refund and try other device... It’s sad because beside those issue - Razer Raiju Ultimate feels like perfect controller for PS4.

I play fortnite generally on the controller the issues I suffer from after 10 hours of gameplay is: When moving the right stick it sometimes jumps to the top or the right by itself it flicks if you will making it impossible to aim or build or even move straight. Not to be confused with stick drift which makes me lose control of the character completely for 5 seconds forcing it to move on its own. On the occasion my left stick will also make character walk to the right by itself. More rarely but sometimes too turning the right stick to the right will be okay but turning it left will take it like 2-3 seconds to actually turn quicker as if my deadzone of the stick just increased tremendously Doing as I described above fixes it, that is not just blowing air into the sticks but resetting both on the backside of the controller and via the app plus unplug and plugging in. Also this is not just once, in general I have to unplug a few times before it’s fixed. I usually hop into playground mode for the fixing and don’t leave playground mode till the controller is fine. Takes me about 10-15 minutes normally. It’s worth it tho, some gameplay using the controller on solo squads: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FwhlLEysNpM

Does first generation Raiju Controller have similar issues? I’m thinking about refund and buying older version, since all of the topics at this forum is about Razer TE and UE...

From what I read it had the same start up issues but the latest firmware has no problems for the original razer raiju

Ok :( push the stick down and blow harder, thats the only advice i can give, also try reset the controller (on the reset button not the app). As described in my first post, i was really angry when i first did it, try do things abit harder dont break your controller tho :)

Just to be clear, 1.03 isn't a beta firmware, it's a full release.

Il y a quelqu'un qui a eu ce problème de drift, renvoyé le contrôleur et reçu un contrôleur qui fonctionne parfaitement ? En gros, y’a t’il des contrôleurs qui marchent ?

I have the same questions.. I hope I'll be the one - I sent back my controller back to seller earlier today. I hope that replacement will work fine.

Then why isn't it on their support site for public download ? ;-)
