Why you allow keyboards to have Macros and not Controllers? Thats unfair.

Dear Razer Team,

I’m a long-time supporter writing regarding the Wolverine V3 Pro 8K and the lack of macro support for controller users.

Many in the community are confused and disappointed that macros are restricted on controllers while the vast majority of Razer keyboards fully support macro recording and advanced customization. This feels inconsistent and biased — especially when 99% of your keyboards allow it, yet controllers do not. It creates an imbalance within the same ecosystem, where one group of users has full customization and another does not.

It’s also worth noting that you already released a wired version titled the Tournament Edition. If a tournament-focused model exists, it would make sense for the Pro version to allow broader functionality.

A simple solution would be a firmware update with two selectable modes:

Free Mode – Enables macro support and advanced customization
Tournament Mode – Disables macros for competitive compliance

This preserves competitive integrity while giving everyday users the flexibility they’re asking for.

The community’s feedback comes from loyalty and passion for the brand. We simply want controller players to have the same level of customization that keyboard users already enjoy.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

I am 100% support of this comment. I find it extremely confusing and frustrating. Comparing it to their keyboards is not only accurate, but deserving. Since every keyboard I have seen in the last 18 months have had full synergy with Synapse (macro capability), I have come to equate “remapping” with “macro capable”. So, I wasted over $150 USD on a controller from Razer because they (and I conclude it was intentional) are specifically pedantic in using “reprogrammable” vs “remappable” (remappable is not macro capable).

I would better understand if the controller was “Console Edition”, but releasing a “PC Edition”, but handicapping it against MnK and Tarturus V2 PRO users (like I was before I switched to Cyborg 2 BECAUSE of the controller issue) is nonsensical. Not to mention that many competitive games are able to detect macro usage (especially egregious) through anti-cheat software.

I cannot help but to feel this was done intentionally. Not just for “competitive integrity”, but intentionally leading customers astray. Hopefully this is rectified in the future, but until it is, my business is trickling elsewhere.

I just reported multimedia keybinds not working on Wolverine v3 pro. I was then informed this only applies to the 3.5mm jack on the controller.

I have been using volume up and down on the Tartarus v2 scroll wheel since it's release. It was natural to try this and no where is this clearly marked as not possible.

There are differences but come on it looks the same! :) I too would like these features to be looked into and I accept these will only be possible to use with Synapse running.
