2nd Drive in Razer Blade 17 (Double Sided?)

Hi All, I have the mid 2021 Razer Blade 17. This model has an open m.2 slot which supports a double sided nvme disk. My question is, is it mandatory for the disk to be double sided or can I purchase a single sided disk ? Thanks.

    Single sided will work fine. I think single is actually preferred for it's size and thermal / heat dissipation. I have an additional single sided in my 15'' and so far it's running great with both drives.
